Injuries to the Achilles tendon are usually associated with athletes,
not people with diabetes. But despite the recognition that msk injuries
often occur in this patient group, not much is known about the cause. Dr
Jamie Gaida, a physiotherapist and research fellow in the Monash
University tendinopathy research group, says shoulder capsulitis, flexor
tenosynovitis, rotator cuff tears and pain of the rotator cuff are all
common in people with diabetes. http://www.medicalobserver.com.au/news/musculoskeletal-and-metabolic-disorders |
